AN ETHEREAL MOOD: I am fully aware that the title of this post sounds like a bad title for a Vogue Italia editorial but I felt that it captured the essence of this picture. I can’t add much beyond my initial impressions of the photo, as I am forever posting landscapes similar to this one. I love how the glow of the sunrise just kind of fills the sky here, an orange hue seems to consume the entire sky and gives off a feeling of warmth and optimism. I like how the light only faintly touches the seagull’s silhouette here, it draws attention to the bird but doesn’t push it into the ‘starring role’. This photo reminds me of Worthersee Lake in Austria, an area that I have visited a lot for the past couple of summers.
