RUN TO THE RESERVOIR: A picture here which is seemingly anonymous yet intricately compelling nevertheless. There are only two things that are really shown in this picture, a reservoir and hundreds of what are known as ‘shade balls’ within.
It’s interesting to consider where these balls might have been released from. I don’t even know what function they serve, to say the least! There’s a mild sense of intrigue that stems from who let tons of small black balls roll into the Ivanhoe Reservoir in Los Angeles. I just enjoy the contrast between the movement of those travelling down to the water and those already resting on the surface of the reservoir.
