GODDESS: I have had the editorial that this picture comes from on my computer for a while now and have recently come back to this wonderfully minimal story. Fabien Baron is known for being the editorial director of Interview Magazine; the man who has revamped it and turned it into the ultimate pop culture, photography publication. However he is also a photographer and occasionally shoots ads and editorials. His work is simple and stark, rather like this editorial from the New York Times Style Magazine S/S 2008 edition, which relies on the model’s performance and basic effects like a wind-machine to create an image that is unpretentious and alluring. This is one of the stories where Liya shows just how strong she can be; her mesmerizing beauty and enduring presence are a killer combination that have allowed her to stick around for as long as she has. Add Karl Templer into the mix and you have a set of photos which can only be described as perfect.
